About aspen

Aspen Bentley is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning national security, education, and leadership. Her career, which encompasses a wide array of roles in both the military and intelligence sectors, reflects an unwavering commitment to service and a deep-seated passion for effecting positive change.

As a Cryptologist at the National Security Agency (NSA), Aspen fine-tuned her skills within the intricate realm of cryptography, making significant contributions to national security endeavors. This early experience laid the foundation for a remarkable career marked by unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence leading her to the United States Naval Academy.

The summer after commissioning in 2019, Aspen suffered her first Traumatic event that dramatically changed the course of her life. Albeit brief, she was given a 30-day recovery period before entering the next phase of flight school. Four days later, a radicalized Saudi Arabian flight school student opened fire on the Naval Aircrew School (NAS) in Pensacola, Florida, killing three and injuring eight. From that point forward, Aspen’s loss of classmates-turned-family would begin to plant seeds for the development of Healing Can’t Wait.

In spite of these Traumas, Aspen continued to work around the limited health support she was given. Not long after the shooting, she made her mark as a Division Officer at NAS Pensacola, playing a pivotal role in the training and mentorship of the Navy's future aviators. Her dedication to intelligence and security remained steadfast as she undertook the role of Naval Intelligence Liaison Officer for the 2nd Fleet in Hampton Roads, Virginia, significantly contributing to critical maritime operations.

Demonstrating her adaptability and resourcefulness, Aspen accepted the challenging role of Naval Mine Warfare Intelligence Department Head within Command Task Force (CTF) 52 in Bahrain, where she expertly managed a wide array of complex tasks pertaining to mine warfare intelligence.

After her medical evacuation from Bahrain in 2022, Aspen invested more time, energy, and resources into her healing journey than ever before. All the while, she showcased her commitment to maintaining rigorous security protocols, as the Regional Personnel Security Manager at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Aspen is currently undertaking her next overseas assignment as an all-source intelligence analyst and associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.
